Section Manager Production

I am a section manager for Cogent Power currently working at Orb, Newport. My responsibility is to ensure the service centre area is operating safely and efficiently whilst continually improving standards to meet the changing demands of the business and electrical steels market.

I joined the Company in 1994 as a sponsored placement student whilst completing my B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. I have worked in various departments in the Corus Llanwern Works, initially in engineering and then for the last six years in production,before joining Orb Electrical Steels.

My employment with the Group has enabled me to have a varied and interesting career with many different and rewarding challenges.
